Description
Montalto Gate, built in the 16th century, is one of the monumental gates of Palermo's ancient walls. Dedicated to Viceroy García de Toledo, it features an imposing rusticated arch and Renaissance decorations. The recently restored gate represented an important access to the city from the southeast.
